COLOURBOX43000538 Teknisk Tur

On Thursday, September 19th, from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM, you can participate in one of three technical tours. Registration for the tour takes place at the same time as registering for the conference.

Frederiksberg Forsyning

Visit Denmark's high-rise waterworks, Frederiksberg Forsyning, and learn about district heating with drinking water.

Lekage detection at NOVAFOS

Visit NOVAFOS - a large Danish utility and learn more about the latest Danish technology in leak detection.

In connection with the replacement of 74,000 analog meters with remote meters, NOVAFOS now has a comprehensive dataset to work with. In addition to data from the remote meters, a significant portion of their supply area is sectioned, where they collect meter data via their section meters. They use all this data to perform mass balance calculations at multiple levels. The built-in noise logger in the meters allows them to locate leaks in their customers' systems that they are not aware of.
In general, the remote meters have enabled NOVAFOS to conduct analyses on noise, temperatures, etc., opportunities they did not previously have. Today, NOVAFOS use standard software, but they are working on developing their own data systems.
NOVAFOS already has various in-house developed tools that they would like to demonstrate at the Nordic Drinking Water Conference. These currently include systems in the following areas:

1. Mass balances: We would like to demonstrate how we use data from the remote meters to calculate mass balances and optimize our processes.
2. Noise measurements: We would like to demonstrate how we use noise data to identify leaks in our pipeline network and at our customers' premises.
3. Data analysis tools: We have developed specialized tools to analyze and visualize our data from the meters. This can provide us with valuable insights and help us make the right decisions.

Climate adaptation in Copenhagen

On this tour, there will be an opportunity to visit three climate adaptation projects. We will start with a bus trip to Kongens Enghave and the award-winning Karens Minde Axis, and conclude by sailing through Copenhagen Harbor and canals to Skt. Annæ Plads.

You can read more about the Karens Minde Axis here... (in danish)
